Season 1, Episode 22
There was quite a commotion just as we left off last time in Labrador Falls, at the home of Al and Sandy Johnson. Fellow dog owner Krystal Sullivan had come to their door looking for the dog who lived next door to them. It’s owner, Mr. Jenkins, had been in a car accident and was in the hospital. Krystal had set out to try to find the man’s dog, Rex.
Both women had just stepped out in the back yard looking for Sandy’s husband, Al. All of a sudden there was a big commotion as Krystal let out a scream of terror. She thought she was being attacked by three dogs. She instinctively turned her back and crouched low, awaiting impact.
There were three dogs all right, but these were happy dogs. They came up to the two women and were licking and wagging their tails. In the heat of the moment it seemed as if the dogs were attacking, when actually they were just coming back inside from being outdoors.
Season 1, Episode 21
Last time we met, the Johnsons had received a late night visit from Krystal Sullivan who had been trying to locate the lost dog of David Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins had been involved in a traffic accident and was taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, his dog Rex, who was with him during the accident, was missing.
Krystal had gone looking for Rex and decided to try the man’s house in case the dog had somehow found his way back home. When she didn’t see the dog at his house on Elmwood, Krystal knocked on the neighbor’s house next door. Unbeknownst to her, this was the home of the Johnsons whom she had just seen earlier that evening at the Labrador Falls Dog Park.
Season 1, Episode 20
On our last visit, we were at the Johnson residence where Mr. Johnson had just taken his dogs, Tillie and Rover out in the back yard for one last stop at the doggie restroom before going to bed for the night. The dogs heard something outside and were barking. Al Johnson also heard the noise and wondered if it was neighborhood kids.
Sandy Johnson had heard the commotion from inside their home and was walking to the back to check it out when she was startled by the chime of the front door bell. After nearly leaping a foot in the air, Sandy reversed her footing and headed toward the front door.
“Who would be coming here at this time of night?” she said under her breath. Shortly after the door chime had sounded there was impatient knocking as well. “Hold on. I’m coming!” shouted Sandy, beginning to get perturbed. She approached the front door cautiously.
Season 1, Episode 19
We had left off with Krystal Sullivan driving on the east side of Labrador Falls. She was looking for the home of David Jenkins, who had been involved in a bad car accident.
His dog Rex was missing among the confusion in the aftermath of the accident. Jenkins had been treated and taken to the hospital and could not look for his dog himself.
Krystal, a nurse who had helped those at the accident scene, promised to look for Mr. Jenkins’ dog. She had searched the surrounding area with no luck.
The only thing she could think of was to search near the man’s home. Perhaps Rex would recognize where he was and make his way home.
Meanwhile, Al and Sandy Johnson had just arrived home in their SUV with their dogs, Tillie and Rover. They had been to the Labrador Falls Dog Park when the rainstorm came.
They gave a ride to their friends, Ben and Debbie Meyers, who lived close to the dog park and had walked there with their dog, Chloe.
Season 1, Episode 18
Last time we met, there was a bad accident on the streets of Labrador Falls late on a warm summer night. A surprise rainstorm had made the roads slippery and travel hazardous. The patrons from the dog park were making their way home.
Krystal Sullivan was a nurse who had left the dog park with her dog, Fantasia, later than most because she was struggling to put the roof on her convertible. She was soaking wet by the time she made it onto the road heading toward south Labrador Falls. She had seen the flashing lights of a traffic accident in front of her.
She got out and began to help with some of the accident victims because emergency personnel were still on their way. She had already helped a young woman with a broken arm and was now focusing her attention on a man who she recognized from the dog park named David Jenkins.
Season 1, Episode 17
High drama continues from Labrador Falls as the rainstorm has produced a serious traffic accident. Krystal Jenkins, a nurse and owner of Fantasia, has jumped out of her car to offer assistance to emergency personnel who have just arrived and find themselves very busy.
Krystal had already helped to stabilize and treat an accident victim named Chelsea Baker. She turned her over to emergency personnel and went to help the other victim. She recognized the man, who she had seen earlier at the dog park.
“Mr. Jenkins!” was all Krystal could exclaim as she got close to the man lying near his truck. Just a few short minutes ago she had seen Old Man Jenkins leave the dog park with his dog, Rex.
She never knew what his first name was and, like everyone else, called him Old Man Jenkins. He had the deserved reputation as a grumpy sort who kept to himself.
Season 1, Episode 16
The last time we met, we found Krystal Sullivan driving home from the Labrador Falls Dog Park with her dog Fantasia. A heavy rain had been falling and the conditions were dangerous.
In fact, they were so dangerous that Krystal came upon a car accident as she was driving home. Her nursing training skills kicked into gear and Krystal jumped out to treat people as if they had just walked into the Labrador Falls Regional Hospital where she worked in the emergency room.
She approached the sedan that had been badly damaged in the front. The person in the sedan was shaken but alert. The airbag had probably saved the young woman from serious injury.
Season 1, Episode 15
On our last episode, the patrons of the Labrador Falls dog park had all gone home, most of them seeking shelter in their cars from the summer rainstorm that had struck the area. Krystal Sullivan had managed to get the top up on her convertible and left to get on the main thoroughfare heading south toward her apartment in south Labrador Falls.
She slowed down suddenly as she saw bright lights in front of her. “Oh my!” exclaimed Krystal. The familiar flashing of lights from the emergency vehicles was almost blinding to the eye. Krystal could see in front of her that there had been a recent accident. The police were stopping traffic and the cars had already begun to form a long line.
Krystal’s car was the fifth car away from the police car with its flashing lights on. A fire truck and paramedic vehicle were just arriving. The accident must have just happened within the last few minutes. From her vantage point about 50 feet away, Krystal tried to piece together what had happened.
Season 1, Episode 14
Last time we met, people were on their way home from the dog park. A steady rain had begun to fall just before the dog park closed.
Some were more prepared than others. The Johnsons, owners of Tillie and Rover, and the Meyers’, owners of Chloe, had managed to keep dry using the umbrellas they had brought with them and jumped into the Johnsons’ SUV without getting wet.
For Krystal Sullivan, owner of Fantasia, it had become a nightmare. She had run around clumsily in her high-heeled sandals gathering up Fantasia on her leash.
Season 1, Episode 13
We had just seen the Labrador Falls Dog Park become vacant. Most patrons left because it had started to rain and the diehard people who stayed were eventually chased away because the curfew had been reached and the lights were turned off.
Ben and Debbie Meyers lived close to the dog park and had walked there as they did almost every day. But because the rain was still coming down steadily, Al and Sandy Johnson offered them a ride in their SUV, which they gladly accepted.
Everyone piled in the big vehicle. It was a comedy of motion as people and dogs scrambled to get inside. The dogs did not care but the humans were trying to keep from getting wet and tracking too much mud into the car.
