I have several toys that I love, so it’s kind of hard to choose an absolute favorite. I’m going to talk about one of my toys that’s right up there near the top. It’s my piggy. I’ve had at least four and possibly five of them. I still have the partials of three of them. I still love to get them out and play with them.
Actually I have to confess a problem with my piggies. You see, when they are new, you can bite them and they make a low grunting noise like a real pig. I’m not sure if I really like it or really don’t like it but no matter, I just can’t bite it enough. I have destroyed the noise maker in every one of my piggies. The last two took me only 30 and 15 minutes, respectively.
Okay, so it’s not the same as finding donuts but it tastes just as good. Yesterday was a really good day for me. First, we went for a bike ride to the dog park. That was a good five mile warm-up. When we got there I was trying to chase balls like I enjoy doing so much.
There were two other dogs who had other ideas. Some dogs like to chase balls and other dogs like to chase the dogs that chase the balls. I had two of the latter such “friends” yesterday. The one dog was hound-like and he barked like crazy and tried to jump on me and stuff. I set him straight with a few growls that told him I was not interested.
Dad went to a place called Las Vegas. From a dog’s point of view it doesn’t sound that great. Dog’s don’t like to golf and they don’t know the first thing about gambling. However, there is something that I am a little bit curious about and it’s the college basketball tournament they call March Madness. This is when all of the top teams in the country have a big playoff to see who comes out on top.
I don’t really know that much about how to make a bet but if I could, I think I’d put some bones on a few teams that I would consider my favorites. The University of Connecticut is still alive in the tournament so I’m pulling for them. Why? Because they are the Huskies.
I’m also happy to see Tennessee do well because even though they are the Tennessee Volunteers, their mascot is a blue tick coonhound named Smokey.
Dad is going to be gone for a few days so he asked our neighbors, James and Trina, to watch me. They live in the apartment right below us. They agreed but just before dropping me off, they told us they may need to do some traveling as well. The only way they would be able to watch me is if I went with them. Dad said that would be okay.
James came over yesterday and said their schedule got moved up and they needed to leave that day! Dad got me ready and I went down to get acquainted. The good news for me is that James and Trina have two dogs. Bailey is an older golden retriever who is a nice dog but is not the most disciplined. Porter is a black lab puppy who is a little over 4 months old and full of energy like me.
